Skype launches Wi-Fi VoIP mobiles

Skype has announced the availability of four Wi-Fi mobile handsets for making free calls using VoIP technology. The four handsets are made by Belkin, Netgear, Edge-Core and SMC. The Gizmo Project, a multi-platform VoIP service developed by SIPphone, now claims that users can make outgoing calls to landlines and mobile phones for free. The fine print tells a slightly different story, however.
